Crescent Scarf
This scarf fits tweens and all sizes of ladies,
making it a great gift.
YARN, GAUGE, SIZE AND MACHINE
1 cake of Caron Cakes will make the entire scarf. Finished length is 58” down the long side, 10” across the end. This allows for a double wrap around the neck of the wearer. Gauge is 4 stitches/5 rows/inch. It may be achieved on a mid-gauge or bulky machine. The sample was made on the KX350 Brother at stitch size 8. standard gauge machines can knit this yarn on every third needle and match the gauge. Simply leave 2 needles out of work and pretend they don’t exist. Use the same stitch and row counts with reference to only those needles that are in use. Tip: on some machines the row/inch count may tend to be higher. After doing everything possible with stitch size and mast tension, a bit of further adjustment to match gauge may be made by adding weight across the knitting. This will tend to elongate the stitches and will help you to match gauge. It is not essential for gauge to be perfect but it should be close.
