This triangular shawl features Garter Stitch and simple colour ridge sections. Cresta starts with just a few stitches and grows with increases – easy, once you learn the rhythm!

Wingspan: 44.25 (51.5)“ / 110.5 (129) cm.
Centre Spine: 21.5 (25.5)“ / 54 (63) cm.
MATERIALS
Yarn: Nest Worsted by Magpie Fibers (100% Corriedale Wool, 210 yds / 192 m – 100 g).
MC: 2 (3) skeins of colourway Marled Smoke (grey sample, p. 165) or Natural Marl (brown sample, p. 166).
CC: 1 (2) skein(s) of Midnight Velvet (grey sample) or colourway Natural Midnight (brown sample).
If you decide to use another yarn, you will need approx. 420 (630) yds / 384 (576) m of worsted-weight yarn in MC and approx. 180 (360) yds / 165 (329) m (CC) of worsted-weight yarn in CC.
Needles: US size 8 / 5 mm 32” / 80 cm circular needles.
Notions: Stitch markers.
GAUGE
20 sts x 28 rows to 4” / 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch, after blocking.20 sts x 36 rows over 4” / 10 cm in Garter Stitch, after blocking.
CONSTRUCTION
This triangle shawl is knitted flat from top down in one piece: it starts with just 5 stitches and slowly grows into a generous piece. The increases are made on both edges and on either side of the central stitch. Garter Stitch and colour ridge sections vary throughout the shawl.
