Crimson Autumn
“Crimson Autumn” cowl is also available as a part of “Shades of Autumn” eBook which also includes a pattern for a “Autumn Tango” scarf.
Crimson Autumn cowl is knitted in a simple leaf and cable motive. It is knitted flat and the edges are later joined by Kitchener stitch. This is fast and easy project. Enjoy!
Finished Size
The sample cowl knitted after blocking measures 69cm (27 inches) long and 23cm (9 inches) wide. You can easily make your cowl bigger or smaller by changing the number of repeats.
Gauge
The gauge is not critical in knitting this cowl. Adjust your needle size to suite your yarn and achieve the size and the look of the cowl of your choice.
Yarn The sample cowl was knitted with 2 skeins or 328 yards (300 m) of Classic Elite Yarns Fresco (60% Wool, 30% Alpaca, 10% Angora, Sport 5ply).
Needles
US 6 – 4.00 mm.
Instructions are both written and charted.
This is easy and intuitive pattern that can be knitted up very fast. However, it will help you a lot with the speed of this project if you can cable without a cable needle. Instructions include 2 different options on how to do that.
