Note to Customers:
Please be aware that all of my patterns use the KLL (knit left loop) or KRL (knit right loop) increase methods.
These are nearly invisible increases that help maintain a super clean look of the fabric.
This is a knitting pattern for a stuffed toy Christmas Deer called Crispin. The toy is knitted on 2 needles and then sewn.
MATERIALS: red DK yarn approximately: 15 - 20 g
beige DK yarn approximately: 15 - 20 g
green DK yarn approximately: 5 g
cream DK yarn approximately: 5 g
white DK yarn approximately: 5 g
handful brown DK yarn for the hooves and antlers
black and white strong threads for embroidery
handful soft chenille white DK yarn (100 g/170 m)
KNITTING GAUGE:
24 sts and 28 rows to 10 x 10 cm = 4” x 4” in stocking stitch (knit row on right side, purl row on wrong side) and 2.5 mm needles.
Gauge is not critical for this project. Work tight enough to make sure the stuffing would not show through the stitches.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: 23 cm/ 9’’ (without the antlers)
The size will vary based on yarn type, needle size and your personal tension.
