Here’s a simple wrap sweater vest that is based upon an old scarf tying method. It is constructed as one big rectangle, placed over the shoulders, crossed in the front, and then the two ends are seamed together in the back. Seam the lower part to the top part and you are done!

Sample shown is a small/medium, using a rectangle 11” wide by 84” long, but you can customize this pattern to fit you perfectly.
