Crochet Friendship Necklace with Leaf Ties
This friendship necklace is the perfect small gift for a friend. The single leaf at each end symbolises happiness - when tied, they are together, though apart!
YOU WILL NEED Up to 50 m (55 yds) of embroidery floss (or similar yarn), an appropriate sized hook and a needle for weaving in ends.
If substituting yarns, it is worth noting that smooth non-fibrous yarns will give best results and be most comfortable to wear against the skin.
A chart of suggested lengths (with schematic) is provided so the necklace can be made into everything from a choker to a lariat. If you have some scraps of yarn you want to use up, you could also shorten to make a friendship bracelet (uses less than 10 m)
GAUGE is variable depending on yarn chosen but 3 to 4 discs to 2.5 cm (1”) is average.
Pattern is available in both UK and US terms.
Images are included to clarify any complicated parts.
Pattern is fully tested.
