Croissant
Croissant was designed with flexibility in mind. With four different ways to be worn it can be styled differently depending on which parts of your outfit you’d like to highlight or simply mood you are in. With a HUGE statement sleeve that comes to a point at your wrist with a delicate ribbed detail. Croissant is over sized in all the right places, while letting eyelet rows give this flowing garment some illusions of structure and form.
About the piece:
Croissant can be worn with as much ease as your heart desires. I knit mine with an exaggerated 4 inches of ease, I would recommend anywhere between 0 and 8 inches. (because of the nature of the garment, a little bit of ease goes a LONG way.) I have a 35” bust and made the middle size. This sweater is extremely simple and really lets the yarn speak for itself. The simple, intuitive construction makes for a very approachable garment and a great first sweater, or first piece to try your hand at very simple lace eyelets. Croissant is knit in one big piece and seemed.
Yarn:
Yardage: 1125, 1250, 1375 (9, 10, 11 sks)
Baby Yak Medium, Ochre, Myak, 100% Baby Yak. (125yards, 50grams)
This yarn is spectacularly soft and warm. It creates a surprisingly light, fabric with beautiful drape. It is a dream to knit with and create a very luxurious, buttery garment.
