Crooked Path Hat
As I am a weaver and a lover of all things Norwegian, it is only logical that I design a knitted hat based on my favorite weaving technique: krokbragd, which translates to “crooked path.” Krokbragd is used for weaving rugs, wall coverings, table runners and coverlets. It is simple structurally, yet complex in design possibilities. These motifs are traditional but the colors are all mine and follow the Fair Isle stranding rule of using only two colors in any one round.
Kits are available from Heritage Spinning and Weaving.
