This is a basic pattern for an easy knitted crop top. The top is worked in rounds, bottom up. No ease along the way to the armpits. Just plain and simple.

The back is shorter than the front with an straight edge. The front has also a straight edge (as shown on the pictures).

I worked the top with a cotton yarn (like Gründl Cotton Fun or DROPS Muskat). Keep in mind, that cotton shrinks after washing, so your top will be shorter afterwards. My frontside was 31 cm long before washing and 28 cm after washing, this is quite a bit.

The straps will be crocheted, to get nice fine strap without rolling inwards or outwards (like knitted straps would do) and are simply are 2 strands-chain.
