Crosshatch

This fingering weight hat is made up of repeated increase and decrease stitches which come together to create a unique crosshatch appearance. It fits an average woman’s head with some slouch. If you prefer a longer or shorter hat you may reduce or add to your stripe repeats as desired. If you would like to change the width I recommend doing so in increments of 10 stitches in order to maintain the crown shaping sequence. Crosshatch uses less than a full skein of fingering weight yarn, making it a great project for those special sock yarns that deserve to be in the spotlight! Have fun choosing your yarn and as always, KNIT BRAVELY!
