This pattern requires a provisional cast on. I used Judy’s magic cast on, though you should use whichever method of provisional cast on you prefer. The pattern includes a link to a video tutorial demonstrating the cast on method I used, and the unique construction of the slipper.

This slipper uses sideways construction and the cast on stitches are the centre back of the heel; the slipper then evolves from the centre back heel to the front with both sides and the sole being worked simultaneously. The slipper is initially worked flat, then joined for working in the round.

Instructions are included for six circumferences, and foot length is customizable. The instructions are needle neutral so you can use your preferred method for working small circumference in the round. The stitch pattern is both written and charted.
