Crown Prince Pumpkin
** Currently in testing! **
Growing pumpkins is one of my highlights of the Summer – and harvesting them in Autumn is even better!
This handsome Crown Prince is not only delicious to eat, but looks stunning in the house too. I love the addition of the vine leaf here for decorating – it’s not something that lasts well in real life, but they are always beautiful when fresh.
This is an easy intermediate pattern that’s quick to make, but wonderfully effective. It’s worked in continuous rounds, shaped and then the leaf and stem are crocheted flat separately before attaching.
For the main pumpkin, you’ll work with 2 coloured yarns held double. This gives the pumpkin some natural colour variation, but also means it works up twice as fast since it’s on the larger side.
You’ll also find a stitch guide and photo tutorial included to help you with the particular techniques used throughout this pattern, and to grow your amigurumi skills.
