Crush the Ice Pin
This design of this pin was developed as a symbol to express dislike for the Ice movement as demonstrated this year (2026) in Minnesota. In the 1940s the Norwegains created this design for a hat as a symbol of protest against the Nazi occupation of their country. The revival of the design has offered donations to the families in Minnesota affected by the recent Ice movement.
The pin basically uses stash yarn and by changing needle size or yarn weight can vary in size. The pin is approximately 2 1/2” wide x 2” high when knit in DK weight on US 4 needles. The red symbolizes the origonal Norweigan design.
