Twisted stitch cables and chalet style cuckoo clocks are both associated with Austria. These white mittens are meant to bring to mind the snow covered alps and a really good mug of hot chocolate.

Construction Notes
After the ribbed cuff the stitches twist, split, crisscross, and rejoin before decreasing in elegant points. All cables are charted and some decreases are worked into the cables at the top. An afterthought thumb keeps the knitting across the palm simple.

US 2/2.75 mm dpns or size needed to obtain gauge
