Cùl Mòr Cardigan
The Cùl Mòr Cardigan is a short cardigan with 3/4 length sleeves and a waterfall front that has optional buttons and loops to wear it closed.
The original design (the lighter sample shown here) is made with colours inspired by the hues of the Cùl Mòr – a twin-summit mountain in the Northwest Highlands surrounded by lochs. Crocheted with a lightweight, natural fibre spun in Scotland, it’s the perfect layer for extra warmth on a chilly spring day.
The squares are made with different combinations of the four contrast colours to create a lovely visual texture and are assembled with a continuous granny stitch join in the main colour. The sleeves and body can easily be lengthened by adding full or half motifs to the main layout. Although the overall design is loose and boxy, the pattern comes with instructions to make the sleeves more fitted.
Tension: each motif, with border, should measure 8cm / 3.15 inches after washing, blocking & drying.
Cùl Mòr Cardigan comes in 6 sizes from 96 cm (37.75 in) to 176 cm (69.25 in) finished measurements (with wrap fronts overlapped).
