Cunning Cotton Cover
The name says it all … designed to show the color-striping (and the wearer’s shape) to best advantage: with self-scalloped border … single button closure … 3/4 sleeves with minimal finishing in a colorway with “pops” of color … cunning, indeed!
Knit side-to-side, the cotton/rayon/silk blend yarn means this sweater will go from work to an evening out … or even look great on the Beach, thrown over a suit or strappy sundress.
The sleeves are worked in the round from the armhole down. Knit basically in one piece the only finishing: shoulder seams, tucking ends, sewing buttons are all the “finishing needed” while garter bands on edges keep the jacket from curling; on the fronts, this garter band folds just above the button to create “lapels”.
The sample shown (a medium) used just over 1000 yards of worsted weight (knit in Plymouth’s Kudo – cotton 55%, rayon 40%, silk5%), worked on US#8’s.
Pattern includes charts and written directions and comes in sizes Sm (32-34) thru 5X (60-62).
