Sizes 3-6 mos. and 9-12 mos.

You need about a half ball each of a smooth “cake” colour yarn and a fluffy “icing” colour yarn.

You also need about 10m/11yds of a superfine crochet type thread, like “susi”, in red for the cherry. A minimal knowledge of crochet is required for the cherry.

You can either use about 30m/33yds of a superfine yarn for the “piping” I-cord, or a bag of small beads for “sprinkles”. (I would not use large beads, or any at all on an older baby’s hat, as they may chew them off).
