Curlicue the Unicorn
Curlicue the Unicorn - Amigurumi Crochet Pattern
As her name suggests, Curlicue has a wonderfully curly mane and tail. Accented with pretty crocheted flowers, she’s the talk of the town, and when she flexes her wings and takes flight all the other unicorns look up to the sky with admiration as she flits about from cloud to cloud. It’s true that you don’t find many winged unicorns in the wild, but they do exist. So next time someone tells you unicorns can’t fly, just tell them about Curlicue, or better still, make one for them!
Curlicue’s mane looks great made up in a variety of different yarns. Try a sparkly or a variegated type for fun effects. The embroidery stitches for the flowers are fully explained with photos.
Curlicue can also be made without the horn and wings to create a not so mythical but equally magical looking horse.
Unicorn measures 9” (23cm) tall when made with light worsted weight (DK/8 ply) yarn and a size D (3.25mm) Hook.
Suggested safety eye size - 9mm
This pattern is written in American crochet terminology and includes a handy stitch conversion chart so you can translate to British crochet terms instead should you wish to.
