Although never intended as a public pattern, more notes for friends, this includes both the knit and crochet versions for a basic curly whirly scarf.

Gauge is somewhat irrelevant, particularly with the crochet version, as you work until you are happy with the length.

Note that the crochet version uses UK terminology throughout, although to be honest it doesn’t matter hugely if the stitches are read as US!
