Cushy Striped Garter Stitch Mitts
by Cat Bordhi
Like all the mitts in my ebook, CAT’S FAMILY OF FINGERLESS MITTS, these mitts are knit side to side and closed with a 3-needle bind-off. The included 15-minute Tiny Mitt video will make you feel as if I am beside you showing you just what to do from start to finish.
The lively yarn I used for these mitts is so springy and squishy that the same pair fits my hands and also my 11-yr-old grandson’s slender hands. If you use the same yarn, you can do what I did: gently wash the mitts, squeeze out the excess water, and put them in a hot dryer for about 10 minutes, watching carefully. They become puffy, remain stretchy, and are extra squooshy and lovable.
