Cusp is an asymmetrical triangular-shaped shawl that consists of a garter stitch edge coupled with an addictive stitch pattern resembling a bud on the cusp of bloom. Made Singles in the Sakura colorway adds small bursts of colors to these “buds”; almost mimicking the petals as they begin to emerge. The resulting shawl is “light-as air” and super soft – a great addition to your wardrobe.

The shawl begins with garter stitch that is worked until a specified number of increases have been completed. A large garter stitch edge running along the neckline and a two-stitch garter edge frame the “bud” pattern. The “bud” pattern is simple and addictive. (And if you find yourself hooked on this stitch, instructions for working a larger shawl are included in the pattern.)
