This killer knit makes a great addition to any kid’s bedroom, and a “splashing-ly“ good comfort cushion come bedtime. 

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the whale is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round). The eye and cheek patches are embroidered using duplicate stitch (Swiss darning) and charts are included.

NEEDLES
A pair of 4mm straight single pointed knitting needles (US 6)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Hayfield Bonus DK in black and white shades; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/280m skein in each colour

NOTIONS
A darning or tapestry needle for seaming, Toy filling, Toy safety eyes, and a Stitch holder.

SIZES
One size only - the body of the whale is 30cm tall x 30cm long x 14cm wide (not including the tail or flippers)

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
