Dad Socks
My dad’s feet get cold, and his circulation’s not so great, so I wanted to knit him some thick warm socks to wear around the house.
These are sumptuous, supremely cozy & gorgeous, especially when knit in a luxurious alpaca/merino tweedy blend.
Options abound: you can knit these in a single color or do a contrasting color for the heel flap & toe; you can knit the cabled heart heel flaps or plain heel flaps, either in a single or contrasting color.
Despite all the details – mirrored cables, honeycomb cables, ribbed gussets, patterned heel flap – these knit up amazingly fast.
