A simple cowl covered in fun and colorful daisies modules.
A simple stockinette cowl worked in the round and doubled for warmth, so to show only the RS.
When the cowl is ready it is first gathered in a gentle ruffle, then decorated with daisies modules. The flowers are worked sideways and feature an i-cord center and petals shaped with short rows. The daisies are attached one to another without seaming, and then seamed to the inner part of the cowl.
Finished size: 16 cm height and 54 cm circ. (6.25” height and 21.25” circ).
Yarn
MC: SnailYarn Ultimate Sock (75% Superwash Merino, 25% Nylon 465 yards 425 meters/100 g), col. Dust II, approx 275 yards/250 meters (for the inner cowl).
CCs: SnailYarn Gradient Sock Set (75% Superwash Merino, 25% Nylon 465 yards 425 meters/100 g 5x20 g), col Crimson Sunset, approx 165 yards/150 metres (for the flowers).
Note: The sample project is knitted using a mini gradient set in 5 colors, changing color for each flower to obtain a sort of “natural” variety of colors. You can use a similar set or even leftovers from stash in the same way. If you decide to have your flowers in only two colors, you can consider inverting the CC1 with CC2 in each flower for more variety.
