Dalga Shawl
The pattern’s been updated in March 2023, adding missing slip stitch instructions to join motifs. (Row 3a, Rows a, Row 18b)
There are two versions of the pattern pdf available, one for Urth Merino Gradient kit, one for Urth 16 fingering.
Wavy, motif-like wedges flow in a gradient of speckled and variegated shades to create an airy triangular shawl with a scalloped edge.
Construction Notes:
The symmetrical triangular shawl is crocheted with motif-like wedge stitches in one piece, each motif worked over
2 rows. The triangular shape with is achieved by adding one motif at the start of every other row
Merino gradient’s colors flow into each other from a light through speckled and variegated shades to a dark one by working a few rows of half-and-half motifs for smoother transitions.
The gauge is not crucial, but it will change the finished size, and may affect yarn consumption - how many rows can be worked with each color.
