Dálki
Dálki means column in Icelandic and this beanie hat has columns of faux cables, created from simple twisted stitches.
This hat pattern is a one skein project and simple enough for beginner knitters to learn using cable needles and twisting stitches.
Yarn
Shown in Madinetosh Tosh Vintage (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 200 yards / 183 metres; 100 grams) in ‘Candlewick’.
Needles
4.5 mm 40cm circular needle or DPNs
5.0 mm 40 cm circular needle or DPNs
Notions
One cable needle and one stitch marker.
Gauge
16 stitches to 24 rows per 4”/10 cm
