Dancing Petals Shawl
White and pink petals dance around
With every sudden breeze
Like fragrant snowflakes in the springtime
Dancing Petals shawl is inspired by the beauty of apple tree blossoms. Simple triangular shawl worked sideways in garter stitch with a scalloped edge. Hidden increases make shape almost symmetrical. Tiny lace motifs placed all over the body are traditional Orenburg motif called “mouse steps”.
Shawl is completely reversible. No purls. Exact gauge is not important for this project. Pattern can be worked from written instructions or charts. Size is easy to adjust.
