Danny's Sweatshirt
My favorite sweatshirt to wear around the house is one that I swipe from my husband’s closet when he isn’t home. I wanted to recreate that cozy feel in a sweater, and named it for my hubby.
The pocket is incorporated into the knitting of the sweater; it is a seamless transition at the top and the bottom, and just requires a small seam afterwards along one inside edge. For an easier pocket, omit the color change and keep it all in the main color. It is somewhat complicated, and is not recommended for beginners.
The sweater has minimal side shaping, which makes it perfect for a man or a woman.
The smallest size takes 600 yds of the main color, and 65 yards of the contrast color; the largest size takes 900 of the main color and 95 of the contrast color.
Super bulky yarn allows for a quick knit; it can be completed in a weekend. I don’t recommend it for beach knitting, as I nearly drowned in a pool of my own sweat while having it piled on my lap in my beach chair in the Florida sun. :)
