Here is a wonderful gift, a reversible scarf that you can finish almost overnight and certainly in a couple of evenings. It starts with ribbing, moves into the purse stitch, back to ribbing so it can wrap snugly around your neck, another section of purse stitch and the ribbing finishes it at the other end.

Pick any heavy worsted weight wool and any coordinating sock yarn. Knit one strand of each with size 10.5 needles. Two hanks of Manos and one hank of Lorna’s Laces will make two scarves.
