Darjeeling Sweater is an oversized sweater that features an elegant V-neck and deep ribbed edges – a sister pattern to our Darjeeling Cardigan. Being worked from the top down using 1 strand of Merino + 2 strands of Soft Silk Mohair, it is soft and cozy and perfect for everyday use. The length can easily be adjusted to your own liking.

First, you work each front separately back and forth to the underarms while shaping the V-neck and armholes. Next, you pick up stitches along the shoulders and work the back down to the underarms. Afterwards, work is joined and the body continued in the round. Stitches are picked up for the sleeves around the armholes before the sleeve cap is shaped with short rows. Both body and sleeves are finished with ribbed edges.

Darjeeling Sweater is designed with positive ease. To choose the correct size, look at the ‘to fit chest circumference’ measurements on the previous page. If your actual chest circumference is, say, 98 cm 38½”, you should choose to knit a size 3 in order to achieve the intended fit.
