These mittens are stranded colorwork mittens knit in the round using sport weight yarn. Each mitten is knit exactly the same way so when they are worn a mermaid appears on the back of one hand and a seahorse on the other.

The yardage in sport weight is as follows:
80 yards/ 74 meters in motif color (example used dark pink)
200 yards/ 183 meters in background color (example used light green)
