Darom Adom…if you are an Israeli you will know all about it. Translated to “Red South” it’s the famous nature event that occurs every spring when thousands of red flowers pop up in the southern part of Israel and turn into a focus point for so many people who come and enjoy this area and its beauty. October 2023 changed all that. The same area became a place that will be remembered for the horrific killing of more than 1400 Israeli civilians, men women, kids, and babies, 241 Israelis (babies among them) were kidnapped by a terrorist organization Hamas, and are held hostage in Gaza. We pray for their coming home.

The Instructions are for a top-down sock. I hope you will incorporate the color red in the sock or in the flowers that are made by embroidery (while knitting the cuff). Wear it with pride.

All profits from this pattern will be donated to Israeli kids from the south. I hope we can bring a little smile to their face and hearts.
