A charming male doll with ginger hair and a beard. David Doll is made in the round. Experience making amigurumi is helpful, but not essential. Photo instructions are included throughout the pattern. This pattern is written in US terms.

David doll is made from the top down. This pattern is made seamlessly, so all parts of the doll are crocheted directly from the body (with the exception of the hair and beard, which are sewn into place). The finished doll stands about 19cm/7in tall.

This pattern can be easily customised; you can change the colour of the hair, clothes, and skin, and you can skip the beard if you would like to leave him clean-shaven. Instructions are also given for an optional removable cardigan.

The photographed example uses Yarn & Colours Charming. Scheepjes Stonewashed would also be an excellent choice.
