Sometimes all you need is something pretty and intricate to fully immerse yourself in the project. That’s this headband, delicate like a Daydream.

Daydream is a colourwork headband knit as a long tube and seamed at the front. The seam is hidden in a knot-like fold and there is a photo tutorial for it in the pattern. The length of the headband is easy to adjust, as you can try the fit while knitting and stop when it circumference feels right.

Size:
3.75” / 9,5 cm wide, length is easily adjustable.

Yarn:
Idän Kehräämö Helmiäinen Fingering (100 % Finnish wool, 200 m / 50 g) or other fingering weight yarn. Shown in colours Lohtu (C1) and Noki (C2).

1 skein of each colour.

Yardage:
125 yards / 115 meters of each colour. The yardage needed depends on the length of the headband, sample is made for 23” / 58 cm head.

Needle:
2,75 mm (US 2) - 32” / 80 cm circular needle for magic loop (or dpns if you prefer). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the right gauge.

Gauge:
16 sts x 17 rnds = 2 x 2” / 5 x 5 cm in colourwork worked in the round (after blocking).
