They say we spend 30% of our time daydreaming, but for some of us it’s more like 30% alert-time. If you find yourself zoning out while counting stitches on your needle (I usually lose count around 66, or was it 67…?), then here is a shawl pattern for you!

            NO COUNTING STITCHES!!!

Starting at the back of the neck with just 6 stitches, it works down into a crescent shape, ending around 13 inches deep and 50 inches wide at the top. Just a shawlette to snuggle your shoulders. Most of the increasing comes from the knit in front and back of the first and last stitch of each row; there are also 3 strategic rows where increasing is done across the entire row. The pattern is simple, but using the eyelet and garter options can keep you from getting so bored you fall asleep at your needles!

Note: This pattern packet contains 4 patterns: the generic “Daydream Shawlette” pattern from which many variations can be created, and 3 specific examples:

 - "In the Zzzone" (shown in blue)
 - "Frankly Scarlett" (shown in red)
 - "Rose Heather" (shown in pink)
