This crescent shawl is worked from the top down and starts with a garter stitch tab. If you have never worked a garter stitch tab before there are lots of tutorials online, just search for ‘garter stitch tab’.

Size
Approximately 210cm/82 3/4in wide and 52cm/20 1/2in deep at centre back.

Materials

  • One 100g ball of Debbie Bliss Fine Donegal in each of Taupe 23 (A) and Ruby 20 (B)
  • Pair of 4mm (US 6) knitting needles
  • 4mm (US 6) circular needle 80cm/32in and 20cm/48in long (120cm long circular needles may be useful for the second half of the shawl)

Tension
15 sts and 32 rows to 10cm/4in square over garter stitch when blocked, using 4mm (US 6) needles.
