Deann is named after my best knitting friend, who just loves to make mitts and hats. Matching hat pattern also available.

The mitts are packed with a variety of textured stitches, starting with a band that is worked flat and joined, then stitches are picked up from the band with the rest of the design worked in the round. A decorative tab feature on the end of the band is embellished with a button, to set the mitts off.

Pattern also includes instructions for a Sibling Version which keeps all the texture of the original, with a less elaborate cuff.

Skills required: working flat, picking up stitches, working in the round, knit and purl stitch patterns, increases.

The photos are of Deann and her family wearing all the mitts I made for them in both versions.
