This Decorative Bath Set design can be used to make Decorative Pillow Sets. Center Motif is beautiful whether placed on a towel or a pillow. The Plain Lace and Ruffled Lace frame a pillow elegantly.

Supplies: Bath Towel 29 1/2” W x 51” L
Hand Towel 15” W x 23 1/2” L
Wash Cloth 11” W x 11 1/4” L
#10 Crochet Thread or Fingering yarn
Hook: 3/2.1 mm (for foundation chain)
4/2.0 mm (for working lace/center
heart basket)
Needle and thread (for sewing crochet to
towel sets)
- Sewing machine optional (must stitch
carefully as to not stretch crochet)
Straight Pins (to hold crochet in place for
sewing

Gauge: Using #10 Thread with 4/2.0 mm hook – for
lace strip ONLY
1” = Sc 8
1” = Ch 1, Dc 2, Ch 1, Dc 2, Ch 1, Dc
Using Fingering Yarn with 4/2.0 mm hook -
for lace strip ONLY
1” = Sc 6
1” = Ch 1, Dc 2, Ch 1, Dc 2
Fingering Yarn Lace will stretch more than
Thread Lace.
Pin Lace often before attaching to Bath Set.

Note: Bath towel, hand towel, wash cloth can vary in size.
Measure each one BEFORE starting the “Lace
Ribbon”. The “Lace Ribbon” can be placed at
the bottom edge of the Hand Towel and
Wash Cloth or if there is a “quilted/indented
strip across them it can be attached there.
This is your personal preference (pictures of
each sample placement included). Placement
of “Heart Basket” is centered when Bath
Towel is folded length wise into thirds.
Placement can be moved per your
personal preference.
Larger hook for original chain of “Lace
Ribbon” is a suggestion (makes chain more
loose and lay more consistent to top row of
sc. You may choose to use the
hook (4/2.0 mm) through out and make your
chain stitches more loose.
There are various combinations for decorating this towel set - 1 Center Motif with Ruffle Lace along bottom
edge of pieces
2 Center Motif with Ruffle Lace along bottom
edges and Plain Lace in between
3 Center Motif with Plain Lace part of the way
down towards edge of piece
For a pillow: Use Center Motif for center and using the
gauge make Ruffle Lace/Plain Lace for
outside trim of pillow to give a framed look
