Deep Thought Socks is the June 2019 pattern for the Blue Moon Fiber Arts Rockin’ Sock Club.
The pattern will be exclusive to Club members until November 2019.

These socks are inspired by The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Deep Thought was the computer that was asked for the Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything. When Deep Thought finished running the program to find “the Answer”, it’s response was “You’re really not going to like it…The Answer to the Great Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything is Forty-two.” But what’s the Ultimate Question?

The Cuff is 42 rounds (because really, what else could it be?) but can be repeated to make the Leg longer.

Yardage approx. 340 (360, 380, 400, 420) yds
in fingering weight using size US1/2.25mm needles

Yardage approx. 300 (325, 350, 375, 400) yds
in sportweight using size US1.5/2.50mm needles
