Pattern Description from Spindlicity.com: “These aren’t quite gloves but they are a bit more than a cuff. They are a great option for people who like to knit while waiting for the bus and want to keep their fingers free. I’ve named them Del Mar for their color, which reminds me of the countless beaches I’ve taken my dog to here in California . I think the stitch pattern hints at crashing waves, lapping at the shore, or maybe it’s just the winter weather that has me thinking such things. The stitch pattern is very easy and you’ll probably have it memorized before completing your first mitt. The scalloping is a natural byproduct of the stitch pattern and gives an elegant effect. You can play it down or up depending on how you block the piece.”
