Cascading cables transitioning to deep ribbing add dramatic impact to this cozy and wearable vest. Knit in worsted weight, with I-cord bind off at collar and armholes for a polished finish, this vest will be a welcome addition to the fall and winter wardrobe.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Bust - 30½ (36½, 42½, 48½, 54½, 60½)“, based on twice finished back measurement. Fronts open at center approx 1½”.
Intended to be worn with 2-4” of ease.
Length - 22½ (23, 24, 25, 25½, 26½)“.

YARN: 835 (1015, 1230, 1460, 1670, 1920) yds worsted weight wool or wool blend.
Shown in Malabrigo “Rios” (100% superwash merino wool; 210yds/100g) - 148 Hollyhock.
4 (5, 6, 7, 8, 10) skeins.

NEEDLES: U.S. size 7 (4.5mm) 32” (80cm) circular needle.
Circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches.
Adjust needle size as needed to obtain correct gauge.

OTHER: Cable needle, removable stitch markers, tapestry needle.

GAUGE: 20 sts/28 rows = 4” in stockinette, blocked.
11 sts = 1½“ in Right Cable, Left Cable, or Cable Rib, lightly blocked.
11 sts = 1¾” in Cable Rib at hem, lightly blocked.

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate. Techniques include cables, picking up sts, German short rows, and I-cord bind off.

CONSTRUCTION: Back is knit from the top down. Stitches are picked up at the back shoulders for the fronts and worked down to the hems. Stitches are picked up for the garter stitch collar, which is shaped with short rows, and for the armhole trims; both are finished with I-cord bind off. Sides, including armhole trims, are seamed.
