Featuring 9 different square patterns, the Delightful Dots Blanket is a fun, textured project. For your blanket, you could make a rainbow version (like I did), use variegated or ombre yarn for fun color transitions, go wild with your leftover yarn for the ultimate scrapbuster project, or create endless other color combinations.

This pattern includes instructions for all 9 squares, as well as a join & border, to turn your squares into any size blanket that you’d like! Or if you’d rather not make a blanket, these squares are wonderful for pillow covers, bags, and many other granny square projects.

This Written Pattern Includes:

• Important notes, yarn & color placement information, a color placement worksheet, blanket layout planner, starting & standing stitch instructions, special stitch & technique instructions, and more at the beginning of the pattern.
• Detailed instructions and helpful images all throughout the pattern.
• A Print-Friendly Version (which doesn’t have any photos).

Difficulty: This pattern is rated as Intermediate. It has some Special Stitches and requires consistent tension.

Materials Needed:
DK yarn
3.5mm & 4mm hook
Scissors
Stitch markers
Yarn needle

Size:
A finished square measures 5.5 in. across.
My finished 7-Square x 7-Square blanket measures 41 in. across.

Depending on your tension, yours may come out bigger or smaller, even if you use the stated yarn and hook size. To adjust the square’s and your blanket’s size, you can change your tension, yarn weight, and/or hook size.

Yarn:
For my 7-Square x 7-Square blanket, I used the following colors of Stylecraft Special DK -

• Color A - Citron (0.75 skein)
• Color B - Apricot (0.75 skein)
• Color C - Clematis (1 skein)
• Color D - Wisteria (1.25 skeins)
• Color E - Sherbet (.75 skein)
• Color F - Spring Green (1 skein)
• Color G - Cream (4.25 skeins)
