Demeter
Update
When my design Demeter was commissioned by The Knitter magazine, they required me to use a multi-coloured wool yarn for the sample. I thought a softer, drapey, plain yarn would look good, so I subsequently knitted another garment using 2 ends of Rowan Fine Lace together.(see photo of plain garment)
I was really pleased with the results!
Note
The garment came out a couple of inches smaller than the pattern size (note the different tension) so I would recommend making one or even two sizes larger for the correct fit. I also omitted the lace pattern from the sleeves to make an easier knit.
Demeter is a pretty jacket knitted in a light 4ply yarn. The
jacket has a lace pattern at the front and sleeves, a flared
peplum and tie belt.
