Deschutes River Cardigan is a comfy, drapey, “dressed-up grandpa” cardigan. It is constructed top-down and completely seamless allowing for a customized fit as you go. Optional waist shaping is included. The worsted weight makes this a fast knit for a cardigan while the colorwork and details keep it interesting.
The A-line style adds movement and comfort and the panels of ribbing and angled front hemline make for a flattering fit. Deschutes River Cardigan is sure to become a favorite sweater for multiple seasons!
Simple colorwork details on the cuffs, collar, front band and hemline provide a bit of femininity and make this a unique design that you can wear proudly!

Experience Level: Accessible to a fairly novice knitter who omits the optional colorwork but a good challenge for a more experienced knitter between stranding on both RS and WS, and working the colorwork into the pattern increases and managing the color changes within the sleeve ribbing. German Short Rows are used to shape neckline and points at bottom center fronts.
