Desert Sage is a beautiful, flowering plant that thrives in the harshest conditions. It is native to the desert edge, surviving drought and pests to bloom in the scorching summer heat. It provides a refuge for hummingbirds and butterflies, passing on life-giving nutrients. It does not wilt under opposition, but shines radiant in a barren landscape.

This is who I want to be when I grow up. So I’m clothing my feet in Desert Sage Socks to remind myself of how to walk.

These ribbed slipper socks are knit in the round in gorgeous sage-color with dusky purple stripes. The pattern uses a simple, yet stunning technique to create clean stripes, even in your purl columns. Knit from the toe up, the pattern features contrasting heels and toes. The stretchability of these slippers make them excellent gifts. And it’s a great pattern for knitters wanting to explore the art of sock knitting!

Finished Circumference: 7 (8, 9)”/18 (20, 23) cm

When choosing a circumference, keep in mind that the ribbing can give the socks 1”/2.5 cm or more of stretch width-wise, so size down to keep a snug fit.
