Inspired by the trails in the colorful Painted Desert of Arizona, the patterns was first published in 2010 in Knitcircus Magazine issue #11.

The hat is a fast knit for beginner/intermediate knitters, who can use cables, and decreases.

The yarn it was originally designed for is discontinued, however, the pattern knits up well with any aran weight yarn.

GAUGE
18 sts unstretched (14 sts stretched) and 19 rows = 4”

SIZES
Small Medium, Large. With the stretch of the cable pattern, all sizes fit a large range.
