I was listening to the audiobook of Le Petit Prince, when I worked on this project and now I strongly suspect that the lovely book influenced my colour choices (even if one can’t actually see Saint-Exupéry’s lovely illustrations with the audiobook… but who knows how the little princes universe is working???)

About the little, lightweight jumper: it’s quite some time now that I really wanted something cropped to wear over my everyday uniform of leggings and long tops.
I wanted something flowing but still simple, boxy but with a hint of shaping, comfortable and big enough but with a delicate, refined neckline and long, skinny sleeves!
I also experimented a bit with the sleeve-cuffs and left the neckline raw, I like it that way actually!
(Note that the pattern offers to choose between two options for the neckline: the “raw” neckline as the one in the sample pictures and a closer neckline, worked with picked up stitches)

And I really liked the broken seed stitch colourwork in pairing with the skinny stripes on the sleeves!
Very simple to make, but with nice results!!!!
And the almost invisible contrast of the last 3 stripes… (this must have been the sensibility of the little prince influencing me…)
And the contrast bind off on hem and sleeves, also very fine and tone in tone.
And I was able to use some of my little Holst scraps/left overs…
And… all these little details made me very happy!!!!

X-Small (31 inches or 78,5 cm bust),
Small (34 inches or 86 cm),
Medium (37 inches or 94cm),
Large (40 inches or 101,5 cm),
X-Large (43 inches or 109 cm),
XX-Large (46 inches or 116 cm),
3XL (49 inches or 124,5 cm),
4XL (52 inches or 132 cm).
You can find detailed measurements of the garment itself in the pattern (Shown in Size Small with 2 in./5cm positive ease at bust)

Gauge
22sts and 37 rows in 10 cm/4” in broken seed stitch
on 3,5mm/ US 4 needles, after blocking.
23sts and 36 rows in 10 cm/4” in Stockinette stitch
on 3,5mm/ US 4 needles, after blocking.

Needles:
3,5mm/US4, 3mm/US2½ circular needles (at least 80 cm/31” long) and 4,5mm/US7 for BO and 2mm/US0 to pick up sts.
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Other:
Tapestry needle, stitch markers (4), stitch holders or smooth scrap yarn.
