Destinations
Destinations is a fun, boxy sweater knit at a loose gauge with DK yarn held double to create a rich, marled fabric with lovely drape. The unique blend of merino, cotton and silk in Magpie Solstice combines to make a soft, fluffy yarn perfect for chilly summer nights on the beach and cozy winter evenings by the fire.
The angled front seams are flattering and easy to wear. Instructions are given for the cropped sweater shown and a longer version. Front and back are worked separately from the bottom up, a few German short rows shape the shoulders which are then joined with a three-needle bind-off. Once seamed, the sleeves and neck are picked up and knit in the round. This is a quick, satisfying knit that just might have you coming back for more!
