My notes on appearance and construction: Afghan features a diagonal texture overlaid on a pattern of wide stripes. Main stitches are single crochet and double crochet. It has a clean design that will work with modern and transitional decor. Worked from right side only, yarn is joined at every row with tails left creating fringe. Fringe is an integral part of the design - it would be easier to include it than not. The appearance of the fringe could be altered by tying in different ways.
