The Diagonale Scarf is knit with a border at each edge to prevent rolling. My skein of Zauberball started with cream. I knit through two progressions of of color and ended with a final repeat of cream to get a symmetrically colored scarf. I had plenty of yarn left for long fringes.
If you are concerned about where to end your scarf--wind off your fringe before you begin. I used one strand per fringe, approximately 68 per edge.
This scarf was inspired by the Diagonale Shawl pattern by Arlene’s World of Lace. Permission was received to re-write this pattern as a scarf.
